Higher Heights for America board member Julie Greene Collier is director of the AFL-CIO’s Political, Issue and Electoral Mobilization Hub, where she is responsible for helping unions, their workers and allies fight for higher wages, decent benefits and an influential voice at work.

Prior to her current position, Collier held several senior level positions with the Democratic National Committee including, director of the Office of the Secretary and director of the Office of DNC Leadership where she worked in close coordination with the DNC’s national officers.

Collier’s professional career is rooted in grassroots activism, and she has spent a significant amount of time managing multiple aspects of field work, working on campaigns and running national-campaign trainings for allies.

In 2012, Collier received the Women’s Information Network “Young Woman of Achievement” award for labor and community organizing.  She is a native of Cleveland, OH.
