Deidre Alexander is the Founder and President of Women Educators of Color. She is an educator and serves as the Director of Special Services for a public education advocacy nonprofit, where she is responsible for the recruitment, cultivation, training, and support of a cohort of millennial adults with a goal of energizing them and engaging them in public policy advocacy in support of public education. Deidre holds a master’s in Public School Administration from Columbia University’s Teachers College and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Jackson State University. Deidre is a member of Women for Progress and the Junior League of Jackson. She is a proud native of Jackson, Mississippi.
