About the Fellows Program
Research shows that when Black women are at the table, organizations and administrations alike boast more diversity and policies and management culture are more reflective of our country. Yet that same research continues to show that Black women executive/civic leaders are more harshly judged as leaders than their counterparts, find difficulty accessing higher levels of leadership, feel isolated and without the coaching needed to continue deepening leadership and management skills. Higher Heights Leadership Fund (Higher Heights) is committed to leadership that opens the door to a world of new possibilities for all of the people Black women leaders serve, and that starts by uplifting and strengthening individual leadership.
The inaugural Leadership Fellows Program is a nine month rigorous and intensive Black women’s leadership program that seeks to further Higher Heights investment in Black women’s leadership
Our inaugural leadership cohort will have a chance to build community together with the best of the best. We are proud to bring together a superstar coaching and training team to execute this one-of-a-kind fellowship with Black women leaders at the center. Working with Jessica Byrd and Three Point Strategies, Simone Ward, Dr. L. Toni Lewis, and an all-star team of Black women strategists, this program will seed leadership possibilities that will shape our world for years to come.
